BUSHKILL, PA (October 30, 2013) — Fernwood Resort has joined with Shawnee Mountain to create a two day package for their Art on the Mountain art show being held at Shawnee Mountain November 16-17 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Gina Bertucci, spokesperson for Fernwood Resort, said, “Shawnee Mountain has created a great lineup of events throughout the year with this being their last event before the start of the ski season. We continue to be a sponsor of these events and create great packages that make it easy to take a mini getaway to the Pocono Mountains and attend all of the events at Shawnee.” Back for a second year at Shawnee Mountain Ski Area, the Art on the Mountain Art Show and Sale will feature 47 artisans including painters, photographers, sculptors and crafters ranging in age from 17 to 84 years old with styles as different as their ages.
Fernwood Resort packages include two nights of studio villa accommodations starting from $149 a night. Bertucci continues, “We will still be operating our new amenities Pocono TreeVentures aerial ropes course and Blue Lightning all season tubing so we recommend spending time at the art show then returning to the resort to try climbing through the trees on our 66 element 5 course park then head over to tubing to ride the Magic Carpet to the top then slide down on our Blue Lightning tubing lanes.”
Fernwood is a 400 acre four season resort located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains minutes from Shawnee Mountain. In addition to indoor and outdoor pools, it offers golf on an 18 hole par 71 course, horseback riding, live entertainment, restaurants including Wintergreens Patio Grill, trips to nearby attractions including The Crossings Premium Outlets and Callie’s Candy Kitchen, massage, gaming at Mt. Airy Casino, a fitness center, bumper boats, hiking in the nearby Bushkill Falls, paintball, and Pocono TreeVentures and Blue Lightning Tubing which converts to the Fernwood Winter Fun Center when winter returns.
For accommodation package information call 888-337-6966 or go to FernwoodResortPoconos.com. Bertucci concludes, “Join us for a weekend of art, climbing through the trees and sliding down the hill. It is a great way to take a getaway to the Pocono Mountains and experience their beauty through art and in person trying the new attractions.”
